Providence expected West Virgina to shoot a lot of 3 point shots, they just didn’t figure that the Mountaineers would connect on 17 of them. The Friars gave a solid effort this time around in New York, but they failed to slow down a potent West Virginia offense and decisively fell 92-79 to the Mountaineers at the Big East tournament.
