Syracuse was down for much of the second half, but a late surge kept them unbeaten on Jim Boeheim Court. More inside.

Both the Syracuse Orange and Cincinnati Bearcats had a little success putting the ball in the basket in the first half. Syracuse made a mere nine of their 24 attempts (37.5%). Cincinnati made less, connecting on only six of their 29 tries from the field (20.7%).

At the break, the Orange led the low-scoring affair, 20-18.

The Bearcats were the first to score in the second half, tying the game and eventually taking the lead.

Sophomore guard Michael Carter-Williams would score seven straight for Syracuse to tie the game at 36 apiece, before Cincinnati's junior forward Justin Jackson connected to get his team back on top.

The Bearcats would stay on top as they continued to hit from long range and were able to get past the Orange 2-3 zone to cash in at the rim.

Carter-Williams, whose late-game heroics helped propel Syracuse past Louisville just a game ago, connected on a three-pointer to tie the game at 55 with 1:24 remaining.

Junior forward C.J. Fair got his body on the ball after a miss by fellow forward, freshman Jerami Grant. The ball went in and was the difference in the game, as the Orange pulled through to a 57-55 victory.

Syracuse are now 13-0 at home this season and extend their home-winning streak to 35 games.
